Kathleen Lou Giesey, 80, of Wolcottville, died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville, Ind.
She went to high school in Fostoria, Ohio and worked at Autolite. She moved to the Kendallville area in 2004 and then went to live in the Wolcottville area this year.
She was born September 9, 1929 in Continental, Ohio, to Ray and Catherine "Vee" (Barnes) Kirkendall.
She married James Giesey in 1975. He survives in Findlay, Ohio.
Also surviving are three daughters and one son-in-law, Diane Fletcher of Elkmont, Ala.; Debi Wade of Kokomo, Ind. and Cheri and A.J. Rock of Fostoria, Ohio; five sons and daughters-in-law, Kemp and Janine Gilts of Alvada, Ohio; Rev. Kip and Tammy Gilts of College Station, Tex.; Kyle and Susan Gilts of Wolcottville, Ind.; Kris and Jaci Gilts of Findlay, Ohio and Kurt and Pam Gilts of Fostoria, Ohio; two step-daughters and a step-son-in-law, Jolene LaRue and Julie and Rod Wise all of Findlay, Ohio, twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two great-grandsons, Nathan Westmoreland and Connor Nelson.
Memorial Services will take place at 6pm on Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Faith United Methodist Church, 411 Harding St., Kendallville, Ind. The Rev. Kip Gilts will officiate.
Memorials may be contributed to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are being handled by the Frurip-May Funeral Home, LaGrange.
