James L. Grosenbacher, 41, of Oak Grove, KY and formerly of LaGrange County, IN, died Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Fort Campbell Hospital in Fort Campbell, KY. Mr. Grosenbacher retired from the United States Army as a Staff Sgt. in 2007 after serving for twenty years. He was currently working as a helicopter mechanic for a military contractor in Fort Campbell, KY. He was a member of a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle owners group, and was an avid NASCAR and Colts fan. Mr. Grosenbacher was born on December 15, 1968 in Fort Wayne, IN to Jerald D. and Patricia M. (Blaising) Grosenbacher; they both survive in Wolcottville, IN. Also surviving are a son, Gunnar Grosenbacher of Oak Grove, KY; a sister, Jennifer Williams of Sturgis, MI; and a half-sister, Louisa Dobrinski of Hydro, OK. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10:00 am at Brighton Chapel in rural Howe, IN with Rev. Brian VanOsdol officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, IN. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Friday March 12, 2010 at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange, IN. Memorials may be given to Lakeland High School Athletic Department, c/o James Grosenbacher Football Fund or the Wounded Warriors Project, c/o Benefits Counseling.
