Andrew L. Mast, 91, of Topeka, IN, died Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Mast was a lifetime LaGrange County resident who farmed and had a harness shop. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Mr. Mast was born on January 17, 1919 in LaGrange County, IN to Levi D. and Amelia (Lehman) Mast; they both precede him in death. On December 14, 1939 in Topeka, IN he married Amanda E. Yoder; Mrs. Mast preceded him in death on January 18, 2007.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Lydian Bontrager of Topeka, and Millie and Willie Schrock of LaGrange; four sons and daughter-in-laws, Levi Jay and Laura Mast of Goshen, Glen and Luella Mast of Topeka, Ora and Wilma Mast of Dalton, Wis., and Perry and Katie Mast of Topeka, 49 grandchildren, 181 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Ada and Elmer C. Miller of Ligonier; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, John L. and Edna Mast of Topeka, and Henry A. and Fannie Mast of Goshen.
Also preceding him in death were seven grandchildren; a son-in-law; a daughter-in-law; two sisters; and six brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 9:30 am at the family residence (7335 W – 100 S, Topeka, IN) with Bishop Ervin Yoder and home ministers officiating.
Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery in rural Shipshewana, IN.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 18, 2010 and all day of Friday, February 19, 2010 at the family residence.
