Mary K. "Kate" Preston, 94, of LaGrange, IN died Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital in LaGrange.
Living her lifetime in LaGrange County, she retired from Farmers State Bank where she had worked as a teller. She was a member of the LaGrange First United Methodist Church.
Kate was born on April 16, 1915 in Topeka, IN to Irvin and Ella (Moseman) Fought; they both precede her in death. On December 17, 1936 in Wolcottville, IN she married Denver Otis Preston; he preceded her in death on July 7, 1961.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Sam Cline of Jonesboro, GA; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry L. and Gloria Preston of LaGrange; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Imogene and Clayton Preston of Albion, IN, and Joan Keplinger, Jane and Dean Ulrey, and Janice Keenan all of LaGrange.
Also preceding her in death were three sisters, Helen Woodworth, Ilah Donaldson, and Phyllis Myers.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 10:00 am at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with Revs. Carldean Merrifield and Chris Danielson officiating.
Burial will be in Brighton Cemetery in rural Howe, IN.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 12, 2010 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to LaGrange First United Methodist Church.
