Donald G. Ringler, 78, of Wolcottville, IN, died Friday, January 29, 2010 at his residence. Living his lifetime in Wolcottville, he was a 1950 graduate of Wolcottville High School. Mr. Ringler farmed all of his life and also worked at Machine-Rite in LaGrange, IN from 1966 until 1996. He was a member of Woodruff Grove United Methodist Church in rural Wolcottville and was a current member of the Pastor/Parrish Committee and had served on numerous other committees at the church. Mr. Ringler was born on April 27, 1931 in LaGrange County, IN to Francis “Frank” W. and Laura H. (Sailors) Ringler. On October 28, 1951 in LaGrange, IN he married Evelyn VanWagner; Mrs. Ringler survives in Wolcottville. Also surviving is a daughter, Sheri Ringler of Wolcottville; four sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory A. and Marcia Ringler and Bradley S. and Sandra Ringler all of Wolcottville, Brent Michael and Sherry Ringler of LaBelle, FL, and Steven P. and Holly Ringler of Brownsburg, IN; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Busk of Reed City, MI. Preceding him in death were his parents, Frank and Laura Ringler; five sisters, Violet Wood, Nila Burkey, Elna Miller, Laura Bowdish, and Joan Rossman; and six brothers, Harold, Homer, Chancey, Carl, Warren, and Paul Ringler. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Woodruff Grove United Methodist Church, 4860 S - 450 E, Wolcottville, IN 46795 with Rev. Carldean Merrifield officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, IN. Visitation will be held from 3-6 pm on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at the church. Memorials may be given to that of the donor’s choice.
