Leona M. Huber, 80, of LaGrange, IN, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital in LaGrange.
Living in LaGrange since 1953, she moved here from Sturgis, MI. She was a homemaker, a member of the LaGrange 1st Church of God and LaGrange American Legion Post #215 Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Huber was born on September 30, 1929 in Three Rivers, MI to Claude Allen and Clara M. (Devoe) Jarratt. On March 21, 1947 in Angola, IN she married Harry J. "Bud" Huber; he preceded her in death on September 27, 2002.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Ann Christner of Centreville, MI and Barbara Jean and Melvin Beechy of Mesa, AZ; ten grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce Ward of Mena, AK, Janet Boyce of Three Rivers, MI, and Jewel Jean Jarratt of Tucson, AZ; and a brother, Carl Jarratt of Baton Rouge, LA.
Also preceding her in death was her father, Claude Allen Jarratt; her mother, Clara M. Jarratt-Reed; her step-father, Edson Reed; two daughters, Laura Mae Yoquelet and Jean Ann Huber; a sister, Betty Sue Jarratt; and three brothers, Duane, Donald, and Marvin Jarrett.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 10:00 am at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange, IN, with Rev. Brian VanOsdol officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, IN.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 29, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to LaGrange County Council on Aging.
