Heather M. Martin, 24, and her son, Mackie Lee Manns, III, both of LaGrange, IN died Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN due to injuries sustained in an auto accident.
Living most of her lifetime in LaGrange County, Heather was a graduate of Prairie Heights High School where she had played softball and golf. She was a LPN at East Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elkhart, IN.
Heather was born on December 10, 1985 in Elkhart, IN to Wesley and Renee (Livergood) Martin; they both survive in LaGrange, IN.
Mackie was born on January 26, 2010 in Fort Wayne, IN to Mackie Lee Manns, Jr. and Heather M. Martin; his father survives in Stroh, IN.
Heather is also survived by her fiancé, Mackie Lee Manns, Jr. of Stroh; a sister, Jennifer Demerly of Stroh; and a nephew, Jack Demerly.
Also surviving Mackie are his maternal grandparents Wesley and Renee Martin of LaGrange; paternal grandparents, Mackie and Pam Manns of Stroh; three aunts, Jennifer Demerly of Stroh, Joyce Cole of Albion, IN and Mindy Manns of LaGrange, IN; and an uncle, Ricky Manns of Morehead, KY.
Funeral services for Heather and Mackie will be held on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Stroh Church of Christ (4540 S-1100 W, Hudson, IN) in rural Stroh, with Rev. James Bartlett officiating.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 3-8 pm at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Stroh Fire Department.
